Her bath is distinguished by a mosaic tile floor and a magnificent 1930’s Venetian mirror.
A Rodin drawing is nestled between two silver-leafed painted screens that once belonged to William Randolph Hearst. The bed and chair were designed by MSA.
The family room’s coffered ceiling—highlighted by hand-painted panels—offers a stunning counterpoint to the vintage Spanish Prado rugs that anchor the room.
The expansive kitchen contains two zinc-topped islands and features full height tiled walls.
The dining room ceiling is painted plaster, the wall-mounted lanterns are Venetian and the magnificent wood and crystal beaded chandeliers are 19th century Italian.
The library features 19th century Swedish leather wing chairs and a 1940’s Jules Leleu coffee table.
The powder room is a tour de force of the trompe l’oeil decorative technique. All the tiles have been hand painted onto the walls — none are ceramic.
The coffee table base was designed by MSA to accommodate a 2nd century AD Roman mosaic panel.
The living room palette was inspired by an antique Baktiari carpet and the room is anchored by a 19th century Italian fireplace.
